Calcium and Magnesium are essential minerals our body requires:
A major proportion of our bones are made up of Calcium
The most prominent role of Calcium would be in maintaining good bone health. 99% of our body’s Calcium is channeled into forming strong bones and teeth. Besides being a major constituent of bone and teeth, Calcium is also required in other important body processes, such as blood clotting and muscle contraction.
Inadequate Calcium can lead to osteoporosis and possible immobility
As we age, our bones lose density, become more brittle and their ability to bear our body’s weight decreases. Osteoporosis could develop and this exposes us to a higher risk of fracture with falls, leading to possible immobility.
The most common cause of such problems would be inadequate supply of Calcium to keep our bones strong and healthy.
Magnesium facilitates absorption of minerals for bone building
Magnesium also plays a vital role in bone development. It stimulates the effective absorption of important minerals that help in bone building, from the food we consume. Examples of such minerals include Vitamin D, Phosphorous and Calcium.
Energy production, synthesis of new cells, fatty acid formation require Magnesium
Magnesium aids in relieving muscle tension and eases lethargy through creating ATP, which is the energy molecule our body runs on. In addition, it is involved in the making of new cells, activation of B-group vitamins, fatty acid formation and various other major biological processes *.

Insufficient Calcium consumption through our diets
Often, we do not consume enough calcium. A single serving of dairy products (a glass of milk, 1 cup of yoghurt, 2 cups of cottage cheese), provides only about one third of the recommended daily amount of Calcium. Non-dairy sources such as tofu, green leafy vegetables and nuts provide even less than the above amounts.
Calcium is not easily absorbed and is highly dependent on Magnesium for its effective absorption
Calcium is not an easy nutrient that is easily absorbed by our bodies.
It is only best absorbed only when Magnesium levels present are sufficient. If there is a lack of Magnesium in our bodies, the consumption of Calcium supplements will be futile as the Calcium will not be properly absorbed.
Liqui Cal/Mag contains the golden ratio of Calcium: Magnesium
Hence, Liqui Cal/Mag is carefully formulated with a Calcium to Magnesium ratio of 2.5:1, a golden ratio that ensures sufficient amounts of Magnesium available, to promote the effective absorption of Calcium.
Unique TriCal liquid formula Calcium and Magnesium allows maximum absorbability
Additionally, Liqui Cal/Mag’s unique liquid formula allows for high solubility, enabling our bodies’ maximum absorption of both these minerals.
Using Calcium obtained from 3 different calcium compounds (TriCal™), Liqui Cal/Mag’s TriCal™ formulation is gentler on the stomach, while at the same time maintaining its optimal potency.
Contains key ingredients, Boron and Vitamin D, that maximize Calcium efficacy
Other key active ingredients which Liqui Cal/Mag contains include Boron and Vitamin D. Vitamin D enhances the absorption of Calcium while Boron supports the proper metabolism of Calcium and Magnesium.
Directions & Enhanced Effects
Adults: Take 1 to 2 softgels daily after food.
Pregnant and lactating mothers are recommended for consumption of Liqui Cal/Mag to prevent leeching from mother’s bones and produce quality milk for the newborn baby.
